Cell Phone Call Recording

Record All Calls

These days, cell phones serve both personal and business purposes. In the same way, recording your calls can be both a personal and business decision.

Whether you need to document customer conversations, maintain records of business transactions, support compliance requirements, or simply keep track of important discussions, cell phone call recording provides a convenient way to securely capture and review calls when needed.
Download the App
If you need to record all calls made on your cell phone, the easiest solution is a softphone app with its own phone number and built-in call recording capabilities.

Once you download and register the app with the Diamond Voice server, simply forward your cell phone number to the app. Incoming calls are routed through Diamond Voice to the softphone, providing a second line on your smartphone with access to business call recording, secure call storage, and easy call management.
All in the Cloud
The recordings of your calls are made by the Diamond Voice server and stored securely in the cloud, not on your cell phone.

This cloud-based call recording solution provides secure call storage, easy access to recorded calls, and reliable backup of important customer conversations, business transactions, and phone communications.

What's the Catch?
Using this method to record calls depends on your cell phone's data connection, either cellular or WiFi. If your connection is strong, your calls will sound great. However, if you're frequently in areas with poor coverage or unreliable internet, this may not be the best solution for you.
Other Options
Fear not! Keep scrolling. The cell phone call recording options below that do not depend on your cell carrier or WiFi data quality. These take an extra step to use, but work just as well.

Record Inbound Calls

No App Required
Let's face it, apps are great, but they're not for everyone. By using the call forwarding feature already available on your cell phone, you can easily record incoming calls and maintain a secure record of important conversations.
Ignore the Call
On most phones, when you press "Ignore" on a call, it forwards somewhere else, usually to voicemail. By using this built-in feature, you can forward any incoming call you want to record to the Diamond Voice Call Recording System. When you don't need call recording, simply answer the call as normal.

This provides a simple way to capture and manage recorded calls without changing how you use your cell phone.
2nd Time Around
As soon as the call forwards to Diamond Voice, it rings right back to your cell phone number. Call recording is now enabled, and you'll see the Diamond Voice Caller ID, so simply answer the call as you normally would.

The conversation can then be securely recorded and stored for future reference, compliance, or business documentation purposes.
Caller Unaware
While the call is being forwarded, the caller will only hear ringing and will not know the call is being recorded. If you operate in an area where all parties must be notified, you should inform the caller before proceeding.

Alternatively, a custom message can be configured to play a recording such as, "For quality assurance and training purposes, this call may be recorded."
Still in the Cloud
Your recordings are safely stored in the cloud. You can have an email link sent to you at the end of every call for immediate access and review.

Record Outbound Calls

Virtual Phone Booth
Recording outbound calls is even easier than inbound calls. No app or call forwarding is required. Once you sign up for service, you'll receive your own access telephone number.

This number connects directly to the Virtual Phone Booth Call Recording System, allowing you to record outbound business calls, sales conversations, and customer interactions with ease.
Home Screen Speed Dial
When you want to record a call, simply dial the VPB access number. For added convenience, you can create a Speed Dial icon on your home screen.

The Diamond Voice system answers and prompts you to enter the number you wish to call. Once connected, the outbound call recording begins automatically.
Caller ID
By default, the Caller ID displayed to the person you call will be your cell phone number. However, you have several options. You can choose to display a different number, such as your business or office phone number, whenever you use the Virtual Phone Booth.

You can also be prompted each time you place a call, allowing you to use your default number or enter an alternate Caller ID. This flexibility makes it easy to manage both personal and business call recording from a single system.
Retrieve Recordings by Phone and Web
One advantage of the Virtual Phone Booth is that you can access your recorded calls by phone or through the web portal. Recordings are stored securely in a voice mailbox, allowing you to call in, log in, and listen to recordings just as you would voicemail.
Record Calls from Any Telephone
While it's faster to place calls from your cell phone because it's registered with the Virtual Phone Booth system, you can record calls from virtually any telephone. Simply enter your PIN to log in, then enter the number you wish to call.

Whether you're using your office phone, home phone, or someone else's phone, you can access the same call recording features and record important business conversations whenever needed.
